In an exemplary project led by NWV Board Member, Don Page, we were able to partner with the Punta Gorda Rotary Club to deliver a C.U.R.E Kit to the Southern Regional Hospital in Punta Gorda. A C.U.R.E. Kit is a specially prepared box, containing an assortment of medical supplies, medications, and instruments, designed for international use in third world hospitals. The purpose is to provide the most common medical and surgical items needed by hospitals like the Southern Regional Hospital. Each C.U.R.E. Kit contains thousands of dollars of medical supplies.
The Southern Regional Hospital in Punta Gorda is the poorest in the country, and the contents of the C.U.R.E. package we delivered were greatly appreciated. While the contents of the kit were valued at $2000 US, the beneficial value the patients will receive from the gift is immeasurable.
NWV is dedicated to continuing our past history of helping supply the medical community in Belize with much needed supplies.
